"I recently Tweeted about this but thought it needed more than 140 characters to tell the story.
This is a piece of cardboard engineering and print produced by The SPS Group who are colleagues of mine (I work for Clockworx, the creative arm of SPS). It takes a lot of experience and expertise to engineer, print, produce and manage the roll-out of such a piece of work. Something I never realised until I saw the SPS team in action.
To be clear, SPS didn’t design or illustrate this piece but they worked hard with the client to understand what the creative needed to achieve.
From the moving parts of the display as well as the supporting bits that bring the products to life. It took a lot of engineering, costing and testing. I think what i’m saying is that even production people have to be brand literate these days.
I think the finished result is great and from seeing it go from a white mock-up in the studio to a finished piece in the window, is a real achievement and we all hope it will deliver results for Clarks.
From what I saw when I took this picture, the kids and parents love it"
